The fable of the kangaroo

We are in a zoo, it is night.
It is empty, no visitors, no noise.
Time passes slowly when you’re alone.


On the left, a pelican looks worried.
Passive, its beak is full to bursting
He eats without envy, to spend the night.


On the right, an ostrich is hidden, discretely.
She shoves her head into the ground,
it’s a tree She can’t see the world but the world sees her.

In the pond, a crocodile becomes agitated,
It makes noise, he splashes water everywhere,
He fights against nobody, maybe the boredom

In front of us, a female kangaroo is asleep,
She’s alone but displays a discreet smile,
She has escaped and played with the night.
She seeks the stars behind the clouds,
She redraws the night and harvest treasures,
Waking up the morning and greet the new day.

When the empty is as much inside as outside,
We can try to fill it, to hide or to fight against,
Rather than meet him and play with.

French La fable du kangourou
Nous sommes dans un zoo, c’est la nuit.
Il est vide, aucun visiteur, aucun bruit.
Le temps est long quand on est seul.

Sur la gauche un pélican, l’air inquiet.
Il a la poche de son bec pleine à craquer,
et mange sans envie, pour faire passer la nuit.

Sur la droite, une autruche se dissimule,
Elle fourre sa tete dans le sol, c’est un arbre,
Elle ne voit pas le monde mais le monde la voit.
Dans la mare, un crocodile s’agite tout seul,
Il en fait du bruit, il eclabousse l’eau partout,
Il lutte contre personne ou peut être l’ennui.

En face, une femelle kangourou est endormie,
Elle est seule mais affiche un sourire discret,
On dirait qu’elle s’est échappé et joue avec la nuit.
Elle cherche les étoiles derrière les nuages,
Elle redessine la nuit et recolte des trésors,
Pour s’éveiller et accueillir le jour nouveau.

Lorsque le vide est autant dedans que dehors on cherche à le remplir,
à le cacher ou à lutter, à défaut de le rencontrer et de jouer avec.
